Slow growing embryos - any success stories out there? c Catmum999 Posted 9/3/19 Looking for some hope out there. We had IVF egg collection last Wednesday (6/3) and I got 9 eggs. I am 38 (nearly 39), my response to the drugs (menopur) was good and I actually thrived through the process. Webb17 sep. 2006 · Four of our embryos made it to the blastocyst stage during our ivf cycle two years ago. We transferred a 5 day embryo, which is now my 18 month old son. The other 3 embryos are 6 day blasts. We're transferring one of those later on this month. Not a success story (yet) but we're in the same boat as you!

He said they could have just been on the brink on day 6 and since the lab closes at 4pm they had no choice but to wait to biopsy till day 7.
