WebStarted by The Meteors in 1980 they set the template blending the energy of punk with the rhythms of the neo-Rockabilly song, whilst singing about dark subjects such as horror, murder, lurid sexuality and a desire to be outside of society. The movement was famous for its violent dancing – known as wrecking – exaggerated quiffs, and tattoos.
