WebJun 18, 2024 · The Google Nest Router was connected via ethernet cable to port 1 on the Xfinity device. After multiple resets of the modem and Google device, I could not get a connection. Also tried this on the other three ethernet ports to no avail. WebGoogle wifi support were very helpful in troubleshooting. in the Google Home App click on wifi, click on the gear icon (settings) click on advanced settings, click on DNS, set it to custom. Set primary to be 8.8.8.8, secondary to be 8.8.4.4. Ignore the rest. IMPORTANT - click OK and then CLICK THE FLOPPY DISK ICON (save). that worked for me.
